About Evolver Federal
Evolver was established in December 2000, with the purpose of helping both government and commercial customers achieve long term success through technological innovations. For more than 20 years, Evolver has become a leading provider of mission-critical IT and security support, applying lessons from the commercial sector to both fulfill immediate requirements and set up enduring systems for government agencies.
In 2018, Evolver’s success led to its acquisition by Converged Security Solutions (CSS), a private holding company building a portfolio of IT transformation and security brands. In 2023, CSS acquired Solutions By Design II, LLC, a company with similar values and complementary experience in providing government customers with top level service. The joint expertise led to the creation of Evolver Federal.
The multiple teams’ combined expertise includes longstanding partnerships with multiple government agencies, including the U.S. Architect of the Capitol, the United States Department of Agriculture, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the National Institutes of Health.

EX2 was formed to provide quality service in cybersecurity, software development, and systems integration and engineering to government clients, leveraging the strengths of two businesses that have served the space for many years. Between the two partners, EX2’s service quality benefits from certified ISO and CMMI processes.
AretecSBD is an SBA approved 8(a) Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture between Aretec (Protégé) and Evolver Federal (Mentor).
