Customer Profile:
Department of Defense intelligence agency, whose mission is to deliver timely, relevant and accurate mission-critical information in support of national security objectives; the Office of General Counsel (OGC), within the DOD agency, is the legal advisor to the Director and the final legal authority within the Agency.
Customer Challenge/Need:
The OGC wanted a state-of-the-art document management system that would not rely on manual processes and email for communications and status. The system needed modern functionality such as flexible task management, automated routing, or variable status/report views.
Evolver Solution:
Evolver developed, deployed and maintained a document management solution to provide efficient task assignment, routing, tracking, and status for over 100 users. Evolver designed an integrated solution using a COTS (Bizflow & Hummingbird DM) workflow engine that dynamically tracks NGA actions and provides life-cycle management of content from creation through archival and/or destruction. Evolver developed and delivered training including materials, classroom instruction, and on-line certifications for users utilizing university resources across 4 locations nationwide. Additionally, Evolver developed CD-ROM based training programs for OCONUS personnel.
With the Evolver solution the Agency was able to increase levels of productivity through a more automated and robust task management solution. Communication across the organization improved, alignment and routing of tasks was facilitated, and access to near real-time status reports increased visibility and risk mitigation.
